There is an amazing event happening a Thunderbird Show Park next weekend that I am involved in. If you’re going to be in the area, you should check it out.
Whether you ride dressage, hunter/jumper, or western, all riders deserve to ride in a safe and healthy environment.
I’ve partnered up with #WeRideTogether for a weekend of fun and healthy sport at Thunderbird Show Park.
On August 9th, make friendship bracelets, have a sweet treat, and receive free resources and goodie bags on from 10am-1pm at Hunter Hospitality with the #WRT team!
And on August 10th, cheer on the riders as they compete to win entries into my annual 30 Days to Round Challenge (my most popular educational program to date!) in the Equestrian Canada .90/1.0 Open Jumper Classic and 1.10/1.15 Open Jumper Classic, both benefiting #WeRideTogether! All proceeds directly fund free safeguarding education and abuse prevention materials for athletes, coaches, parents, and organizations.
#WeRideTogether is a nonprofit organization created to cast light upon the endemic issue of sexual abuse in youth and amateur sports. Their mission is to make the youth and amateur sport environment safer for all athletes.
“We believe sport should be the safest and healthiest place for children and young adults to grow and flourish, and that every individual has the right to learn, play, and compete without fear of sexual abuse. We are committed to creating the radical change needed to fulfill that vision by addressing education and awareness, creating a safe place for survivors to find resources and share their voices, and eliminating the stigma around these necessary conversations.”
Happy Riding!
