I wanted to share with you my Prix St. George test from last weekend on Kensington. I love competing – mostly because I love spending tons of time with my horses – but also because it is a measure of the progress in the training. I got Kensington as a green broke 5 year old and he has come a long, long way. He has not been the easiest horse to train as he is very sensitive but internalizes and hides his emotions.
Anyway, I am so proud of how far he has come and in this video I talk through my Prix St. George test. Please remember that competing is all about having fun and enjoying your horse. It’s all about the journey and remember to be proud of how far you’ve come and what you’re accomplished.
