Today I’m going to talk about grooming at a show. These things have really helped me to make it all easier so I’m going to share some products I use and some tips you can use.
For polishing my boots I use Urad Crème for making them really shiny! I use Cowboy Magic tail detangler and shine, it makes them really slick and so easy to brush the tails out. I use Supershine clear on their hooves, this product I only use at shows and it makes their hooves super shiny. I also use the Guter Sitz cream on my britches for helping me stick into the saddle as I always find my white britches are so much slicker than my regular ones!
For braiding I just use regular hairspray, it works even better and is a lot cheaper!
And the most important thing is my whiteboard, I note all the show times, which arena, what time I need to get on, what time they are getting braided, etc!
Write out your whole show weekend, double check your times every day, but it’s a super handy way to stay organised.
